The Queen Anne Mansion

A few weeks ago I had an opportunity to visit the newly renovated Queen Anne Mansion in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Although some of the landscaping was not complete at the time, they were open for tours of the inside. By now it should all be completed.

The impressive entry:

Standing at the front door looking across the porch toward the courtyard.

This is quite an impressive staircase:

The floor of the sunroom was removed and a new staircase added to access the downstairs area:

This outdoor garden space, obviously incomplete at the time of my visit, will have stone walkways and beautiful plantings. The fountain at the end mimics some of the stone carvings on the exterior of the mansion.

The staircase to the lower level:

A few shots from out on the porch:

As elegant on the outside as it is on the inside:

A child's horse and carriage sits at the foot of one of the beds.

There are several beautiful sitting areas in the house:

The bridal bedroom with all of it's elegant touches:

The bridal bath:

A few more shots of the impressive decor:

This room, in the adjacent house is set aside for small wedding ceremonies:

  1. My three girlfriends and I toured the Queen Anne on May 27th, 2011 and found it a delightful venue. Our guide (who normally handles weddings) was informative and didn't hurry us through the mansion. We recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing beautiful things and learning interesting tid bits of history. We would love to do it again when it's decorated for Christmas. The gallery in the lower level of the house had a terrific art show which we all enjoyed. After the mansion, we had a lovely lunch at "Simply Scrumptious" on down the highway. A truly fun day.
